Good morning, Sharon! First, I must say that I am sorry that you suffered such a major life- changing health event. Second, and MOST important, I must say to never, ever give up on a better recovery! I, personally, have been through 3 full rounds of botox, hypnosis, acupunture, and occupational and physical therapy. It wasn't until I was introduced to the tailwind that I began to recover some function back in my left arm. Initially, I tried to use the tailwind every day, but with my life's schedule, that became impossible. Now I use it as the manual suggests (three times a week for about 1/2 hour session) I have honestly NOT noticed any decrease in function with the slightly less decrease in exercise. I have just begun to try more difficult exercises as described in the manual, so please keep checking my blog for any new developments. Thanks for writing your comment and please feel free to ask any further questions, as I will try to address them. Sincerely, Shary

On Dec. 29, 2002, I experienced a spontaneous subarachnoid hemmorhage which resulted in paralysis of my lest arm and hand and weakness in my left foot and ankle. I've continued with physical and occupational therapy including Botox injections in left arm and wrist. And it appears that I'll not recover use of my hand and arm--though I know that we stroke patients are never to say never! I'd be interested in knowing more about your type of therapy and what all is involved with it--cost, time, place, etc.
Thank you,
Sharon Overcast
