Good Sunday morning, everyone! After realizing that I neglected to mention what my goals are for the Tailwind, I decided it was about time to post them.
First, and foremost, naturally, I would enjoy some sort of function out of my left limb. Second, I am aching to give my husband, Bob, a TWO ARM HUG! I also owe my friend, Mark McEwen, a two arm hug. Other than those simple, important things, I would desire some sort of “ease of life”, regarding getting dressed, preparing food, and walking with better balance. (you wouldn’t believe how much having the left arm just hang at my side effects balance.) I would consider success of these goals as the ultimate stroke recovery!
If there is someone out there who KNOWS what it is like to have use of one limb only, it would be nice to hear from you. For all of you out there who take your daily functions for granted (as I once did), please try NOT using one arm for just one hour. I would bet that you don’t make it through that test during the first 30 minutes!
Obviously, my goals are not lofty, but they are, indeed, visualized on a daily basis………..COME ON TAILWIND! I’ll do my job, please do yours! Sincerely, Shary
